Jen Naugle
Searching for the
quiet moments where
we remember who
we have always been.

The water didn't change my work.
It revealed what I had been
searching for all along.

I don't create photographs because I believe people need to be transformed. I create them because I believe we all carry something whole beneath the expectations, roles, and stories we've collected over a lifetime.

The water became my greatest teacher.

It taught me that beauty doesn't come from control. Every day the spring is different. Light shifts. Sediment drifts. Fish appear and disappear. The landscape never asks to be perfect, yet it is endlessly beautiful.

Over time I stopped trying to overcome those imperfections and began creating with them instead.

My photographs changed because I changed.

Every woman who comes to the water arrives carrying something: a season of life, a milestone, a loss, a quiet question. I don't ask you to become someone new. I make the space for you to remember who you already are.
